Tracking and reporting infections
Infections following surgical procedures in ambulatory surgery centers can occur. This measure assesses a surgery center's participation in the CDC's National Healthcare Safety Network - Outpatient Procedure Component, which tracks surgical site infections following breast surgery, hernia repairs, knee surgery, and spine surgery.
