Safe Medication Ordering
Doctors and other licensed prescribers should order medications through a computer that alerts them to serious ordering errors such as a dangerous dose to a contraindication based on age or diagnosis to reduce and prevent adverse drug events. This measure assess both the utilization of computerized physician order entry (CPOE) and the effectiveness of that system in alerting prescribers to ordering errors.

- Inpatients (Patients who are admitted to the hospital for at least one overnight stay)
- Adults and Children
