Identification and Mitigation of Patient Safety Risks
Surgery center leadership must establish structures and systems to proactively identify potential patient safety risks, and implement structures and processes to mitigate them. This standard is achieved through national accreditation by either Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC) or Joint Commission (JC).
