Surgery centers report annual procedure volume for orthopedic (bones and joints) procedures including: 

  • Finger, Hand, Wrist, Forearm, and Elbow Procedures
  • General Orthopedic Procedures
  • Hip Procedures
  • Knee Procedures
  • Shoulder Procedures
  • Spine Procedures
  • Toe, Foot, Ankle, and Leg Procedures

Experts agree that patients often have better outcomes when their procedure is performed by a surgeon and surgical teams with adequate, ongoing experience performing a particular procedure. However, Leapfrog has not yet established minimum surgery center or surgeon volume standards.

  • Outpatients (Patients who are admitted and discharged on the same day)
  • Adults and Children
