Experience of Patients Undergoing Elective Outpatient Surgery

Hospitals that perform outpatient procedures should survey patients on important issues including communication about the procedure, the patient’s rating of the facility and staff, and whether the patient would recommend the facility. Hospitals report on the results of a nationally standardized survey called the OAS CAHPS.

  • Outpatients (Patients who are admitted and discharged on the same day)

  • Adults
